Quick 5-second knockout in a WMMA fight

Super fast 5-second KO propels both fighters into the pro ranks.

Blink and you might miss it. This knockout happens so fast you may be wondering what happened. Veronica Rothenhausler and Ashlee Evans-Smith met at Tuff-N-Nuff Festibrawl 2 and the fight only lasted 5 seconds.

Both fighters meet up in the middle of the cage and that is when Rothenhausler lands a perfect right hook to the head of Evans-Smith that ends the fight. Evans-Smiths’ legs buckle like a folding lawn chair and she actually winds up sitting on the canvas for a split second. Rothenhausler manages to land two more shots to the head before the ref jumps in and calls the fight.

It is important to note that this was the last amateur fight for both fighters. Each of them went on to fight in the pro ranks right after this awesome KO.

Rothenhausler is currently fighting for Invicta FC where she has a professional record of 1-1 while Evans-Smith has made it into the UFC and fought on the Hendricks-Lawler 2 card. She sports a professional record of 3-1.

Women’s MMA continually delivers some of the best fights on any card whether it be professional or amature. The fact that it is relatively new means that you can see fighters like these quickly rise through the amature ranks and wind up fighting for some of the biggest promotions on the planet. That is what makes MMA so great.
