Karate match ends with a quick high kick
It’s different from other karate styles because it’s full contact karate which means you can knock out your opponents throwing full power strikes. However punches to the head aren’t allowed because all matches are contested with bare knuckles and the risk of receiving injuries would be too high.
The match starts with an exchange of light leg kicks followed by a push kick and the very next strike, a high kick sends one of the fighters face down to the mat. It appears that the kick landed straight to the back of the head which led to the losing fighter falling down face first. The winner backs away and goes down on his knees while the tournament staff tries to bring his opponent back to consciousness.
According to some sources the competitor that got knocked out was up on his feet after a couple of minutes.
