Bake knuckle boxer steps in the ring against professional fighter with disastrous results.
Who is tougher, the street fighter or the professional fighter? For some reason this argument has been raging for generations. Some people seem to think that all the training and hard work that professionals put in does not compare to the “heart” or “rage” that street fighter exist. I am not one of those people. Just look at what happened to Kimbo Slice when he tried to stop fighting in back alleys and stepped into the cage.
An earlier, UK version, of Kimbo Slice was Joe Savage (these street fighters always have interesting names). Mr. Savage was purported to be the UK Bare Knuckle Champion with a record of 42-0 with 42 KO’s. He also, allegedly, called out professional boxers Lennox Lewis and Mike Tyson, who, also allegedly, turned him down.
What he was left with was an over the hill Bert Cooper. At this point Cooper had lost 3 out of 4 fights and was on a two-fight losing streak. This was really a last ditch effort for Cooper to remain relevant in boxing and get a much needed win.
Savage comes out throwing some wild punches and Cooper promptly knocks him on his rear about 30 seconds into the first round. After that it is only a matter of time. About 10 seconds later Cooper lands a fairly standard left hook-right cross combination that finishes the fight. Savage literally lands on his face before the ref waves of the fight.
This is just another lesson for street fighters: know your role and stay in the street..
